Many people ask what breed of chickens we have on our farm. The majority of our birds are Rhode Island Reds. We also like variety, so we've mixed in Buff Orpingtons, Delawares, Barred Rocks, various Wyandottes, Black Australops, and Americanas. All are good egg producers and good pasture foragers. Some of our birds are considered rare breeds; and we are happy to be involved in the preservation of these breeds.
Our flock produces brown eggs of every size: super jumbo, jumbo, extra large, large and medium. Because of the natural foods we feed (grain, pasture and bugs) the yolks range from a brilliant yellow to dark orange.
We sell by the case (15 dozen) or dozen. Cases are available in 12 count cartons or 30 count flats.
